First-time Home Buyers Benefit from Tax Credit
Posted by: | Comments
If you are a first-time home buyer then now is a great time for you to purchase a Bowen Family home. Qualified first-time home buyers will receive a tax credit that is 10% of the home’s purchase price up to a maximum of $8,000. The $8,000 tax credit replaced last year’s $7,500 tax credit, but unlike the $7,500 tax credit the new tax credit does not have to be repaid. The tax credit is available on homes purchased on or after Jan. 1, 2009 and before Dec. 1, 2009. Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit. Qualified home buyers can take advantage of the tax credit at all of our metro Atlanta communities.
