Fresh Local Goods Available at Downtown Alpharetta Farmers Market
Posted by: | Comments
The Downtown Alpharetta Farmers Market has returned and will be held every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. now through October 24, 2009. This year’s Farmers Market has changed locations and has moved from under an old oak tree to a nearby area located along a closed-to-traffic portion of Old Roswell Street and Jones Avenue. The Downtown Alpharetta Farmers Market began in 2006 and in 2007 was named the “Best Saturday Morning Excursion” by Atlanta Magazine. Local farmers and gardeners bring a plethora of items including fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants as well as edible homemade goods such as desserts, local raw honey, sauces and jellies. Attending the Farmers Market is free and you will have the opportunity to purchase local goods while socializing with neighbors and friends. For more information or to learn more about how you can become a vendor, contact The Alpharetta Welcome Center at 678-297-0102. Read More→
