First Friday on the Square and Art Walk 2009
By
The Friday, June 5, take a self-guided tour of Marietta Square’s galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants and businesses at First Friday on the Square. New to this year’s First Friday on the Square is the “Artist’s Alley,” which features work from local artists and galleries. The “Artist’s Alley” is located in the courtyard outside the Marietta Welcome Center and Visitors Bureau, in the historic train depot at 4 Depot Street. Participating stores and galleries will stay open late and offer in-store events and much more. First Friday on the Square takes place the first Friday of every month through October (except July) and lasts from m6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To pick up your Art Walk Map, stop by the Marietta Welcome Center and participating stores. Get your map stamped at Art Walk locations along the way and receive a free gift bag at the end of the tour. First Friday is just one of many events that residents of Cobb County can enjoy at Marietta Square. To learn more about the events on the Square, visit www.eventsonthesquare.com.
