Atlanta’s newest superhero is going to be a fixture across the Atlanta landscape over the next couple of months. While you may not see her leap tall buildings, you may see her at one of Bowen Family Homes‘ communities across the metro Atlanta area trying to give away a brand new home for $.01. Have you seen a superhero around town?

America’s favorite superheroes are set to invade Zoo Atlanta this weekend. Question is, will Atlanta’s new superhero be there as well? Meet Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, Green Goblin at Zoo Atlanta this Labor Day weekend.

The Marvel Comics characters will perform in six live-action performances on September 5, 6 and 7. Show times begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. It is $10 for all Zoo members, $24.99 for non-member adults ages 12 and up and $20.99 for non-member children ages 3 to 11. Non-member children under 3 will be $10. All prices include Zoo admission.

A meet and greet will immediately follow each show. While Atlanta’s newest superhero will not be performing in any of the shows, be sure to be on the lookout for this newest hero throughout the day at the Zoo. We can’t wait to hear if you see him or her. If you do, please be sure to ask what his or her super powers might be.

Bowen Family Homes wonders, do you know what is going to happen on Tuesday, September 8?  Visit Bowen Penny Power next week to find out.

Your Favorite Superheroes

mall of georgia fountainWow! We have had quite a response to the question we posed about who your favorite superhero is. We also received some wonderful comments about who you think Atlanta’s Superhero might be.

At this point, Superman and Wonder Woman are leading the way with the most votes in the favorite superhero category which does not come as a huge surprise. What’s not to like? Superman, AKA “Clark Kent”, “The Man of Steel”, “The Man of Tomorrow” and “The Last Son of Krypton” lived among the common man as a mild mannered reporter, while Wonder Woman sought to bring love, peace and equality to a rugged world.  William J. Grady III might have said it best when describing Superman. “Up in the sky, is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Superman!!! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.”

Peggy Wood, a fan of Wonder Woman said she voted for wonder woman because “she seemed so real to me!”  Meredith Oliver added, “My favorite is Wonder Woman. She rocked that costume.”

Jim Osterman brought it back to a local level when describing some real life superheroes that live among us in Atlanta. Read More→
