Who is Your Favorite Superhero?
By
Ah…superheroes. Everyone has a favorite one. Perhaps yours is Superman, the first recognized superhero who came about in 1938. Or maybe you prefer Batman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman or Captain America. We all have stories about going to buy our favorite comic book, going to see our favorite superhero on the big screen or just enjoying a cartoon on Saturday morning. Superheroes have entertained us for years with stories and acts of bravery and selflessness.
Typically, superheroes have a home base, a place they go to avoid being detected. For example, Batman resides in Gotham City where he is assisted by his partner Robin. While others like Superman have their own domain such as Metropolis.
Who is Atlanta’s superhero? Where does he or she reside? What does he or she do to help the people of Atlanta? What is his or her superhuman strength? Can he or she fly? Does he or she have enhanced senses? What do you think? We want to hear about your favorite superhero. We also want to hear about who you think Atlanta’s superhero might be.

Wonder Woman! When I was growing up there were only a few Super Heroes for girls. But, Superman was a close second as my favorite.

Definitely Superman. He embodies the good everyone wants to be. There’s a Superman in every city, I know who the Clark Kent is here in Atlanta but I can’t tell………..

If you ask my kid, he would probably say “Super Why” (if he could talk)! He hasn’t quite been introduced to superheros yet but LOVES that show!!

WOLVERINE! He is Chaotic and Good. I am always attracted to Chaotic Good characters as they have a sense of rebellion in them, but always for the greater good of others.
My favorite local superhero is Matt Fagioli. Matt always pushes to make others better. He shares a ton of knowledge within the real estate industry and the tech community of Atlanta. He flies by lifting up others and giving them opportunities to shine (online, on stage, and in their communities). Matt has a strong sense of ‘giving back’ and always supports local charities without the need to wear these donations as a badge of accomplishment. Plus he has a bit of Chaotic Good in him

At the age of 53 I’m going to go old school — Superman. Great build, strong, he could fly — he was the real deal. Years ago it would have been Batman, but then I realized the poor guy had to run stately Wayne Manor by day and fight crime at night — no sleep.
Local superheroes. I work with Team in Training to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — anyone fighting that disease is plenty heroic for me.
