Festivities Abound for 4th of July

This 4th of July, there will certainly be no shortage of celebration. As citizens across America gear up for their own festivities, we want to know what you are going to be doing. If you are looking for something slightly more dramatic to kick off your weekend, you might want to check out Aurora Theater’s special outdoor concert presentation of “The Wizard of Oz” on the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse lawn. Interested in spicing up the evening? Forgo the free lawn seating and splurge on a table catered from a local restaurant. Finally for the big day, the “Band of Gold” will play a concert series on the Courthouse lawn while free crafts and face painting entertains the kids. If you live in Bowen’s Autumnbrooke or Cypress Springs community, you may want to celebrate at nearby Lake Lanier. Lake Lanier has a wonderful day of live entertainment, games and family fun prepared. The park will open early at 10 a.m. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:40 p.m. The “Light Up the Lake” Fireworks Independence Day Celebration is not something to be missed! Atlanta’s Lenox Square will once again be hosting its annual 4th of July celebration. A kid’s zone, outdoor main stage and 20 minute firework presentation accompanied by patriotic music will keep the whole family entertained.
