First-time Home Buyers Benefit from Tax Credit

If you are a first-time home buyer then now is a great time for you to purchase a Bowen Family home. Qualified first-time home buyers will receive a tax credit that is 10% of the home’s purchase price up to a maximum of $8,000. The $8,000 tax credit replaced last year’s $7,500 tax credit, but unlike the $7,500 tax credit the new tax credit does not have to be repaid. The tax credit is available on homes purchased on or after Jan. 1, 2009 and before Dec. 1, 2009. Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit. Qualified home buyers can take advantage of the tax credit at all of our metro Atlanta communities. Bowen Family Homes Introduces’Safety Net’ for Homeowners

During these times of economic uncertainty, involuntary job loss has increased and people are unsure of how long they will be able to keep their current job. In response to the current economy, Bowen Family Homes is pleased to announce the launch of their new Safety Net Program. This new mortgage payment relief program is designed to protect our homeowners who involuntarily lose their jobs. If a homeowner does lose their job then the Safety Net Program will pay their mortgage up to $2,000 per month for up to four consecutive months. The program is designed “per claim” and allows for two claims over two years. That means that if you do lose your job, Bowen will pay a maximum of $16,000 and eight monthly payments on your behalf, so that you don’t lose the house of your dreams.
