Every day hospitals are attacked by viruses, germs, bacteria and other infections, it is very important for them to ensure safety in the hospital every day. Hospital safety and cleanliness are very important for all patients as well as the staff working at the hospital. This is why now days the topic of hospital safety is considered to be of the utmost importance. The number of patients who get infected with infectious diseases from the hospital is increasing year after year.
Most of the hospitals will have an inspection done on a regular basis. The schedules of inspections are also maintained by the hospitals. There are many occupational hazards in every hospital, and it is very important for them to keep their premises as clean and secure as possible. Germs can be found everywhere right from the bed you are lying down in to the stethoscope used by your doctor, hence cleanliness and safety should be a priority for every hospital. A hospital is a place where people come to be treated and cured, not to be introduced to a whole new set of diseases.
What exactly is an unclean hospital?
It is a place where you can find dirty bed sheets, unhygienic food, dirt and dust on the bed, etc. Cleanliness does not include just the hospital premises, it includes the wash rooms, parking lots, waiting rooms, etc.
Effective and efficient care is needed to clean out hospitals because everyday patients bring in germs, which may be disastrous if not, dealt with on time. It is also very important for a hospital to be organized and keep track of everything going on. Right from taking care of patients to maintaining health records of patients who have left the hospital. The entire system needs to run like clock work and every department needs to coordinate with each other. Daily cleaning is a must as nobody wants to get their family or friend admitted into an unclean hospital. It is also equally important not to let anyone untrained clean the hospitals. Since cleaning the hospital premises are very different when compared to regular cleaning, people need to be specifically trained to handle this job. The cleaning staff should know how to handle infectious diseases and toxic chemicals. The company should also provide programs for the management with regard to bio hazardous waste products and recycling.
Every single thing needs to be cleaned up then and there. Every sick patient needs to be attended to at once, and the security needs to tight as well. These norms need to be taken care of in every hospital with extreme caution. But it is not only the hospital’s responsibility to take care of the premises; it is up to us to do the basic checking as well. When you enter the hospital room, make sure the floor is not dirty, the toilets have been cleaned and the bedding is fresh. Mentally check these small things to ensure that the patient is going into a clean and safe environment, and never hesitate to ask your nurse or anyone else for help.

I think your feelings are perfectly understandable. You've taken on a big burden and it's not your responsibility. Your responsibility is to your child, your self, and husband.
Please consider putting your brother in an appropriate situation where he will be well cared for. You can check on him and be sure he is well treated and has what he needs, but you don't have to turn your life over to him. As you see, no one else has thought they should sacrifice for him.

Keep an eye on this and if the pain, weakness or tingling continues it may be the beginning of DVT. A vascular surgeon can perform a Doppler ultra scan test and identify the problem.
This is very painful and pain pills do not help. I have had it for over 2 years and the doctor was slow to diagnose it until I was in critical shape.
Mine started with a sudden onset of calf pain and leg swelling. The pain was worse when the leg was hanging down. There was warmth to the area because the veins were inflamed.
I am on coumidin (warfarin) as a blood thinner. Usually when they say 6 months, they mean for the rest of your life. The blood thinner does not resolve the current clot problem, but supposedly keeps new clots from forming.

Superficial thrombophlebitis occurs in veins close to the skin surface, and usually causes pain, swelling, and redness in the area of the vein. Superficial thrombophlebitis usually is treated with heat, elevation of the affected leg or arm, and anti–inflammatory medications. A thrombosis in a deep vein is a much more serious problem than one in a superficial vein. The reason for this is that a piece of the clot in deep vein from a DVT can break off and travel through the deep veins back to the heart, and eventually be pumped by the heart into the arteries of the lung. When this happens, the condition is called pulmonary embolism (PE). The blood clot is called an embolus (plural emboli), and the process of breaking off and traveling to the lungs is called embolism.
Narcotics didn’t help my pain. I now take Tizanidine 4mg 5/day and Lyrica Cv 100 mg 3/day. This helps the nerve pain and I can walk some now. I am feeling much better pain wise.
